Bordeiro has many services attending the village during the week, fresh bread is delivered daily, local cheeses and fresh fish twice a week, locally grown vegetables brought to the village on a monday. Bordeiro also has a mobile library once a month. If you have animals a local vet visits regularly, for general treatments, worming , vaccination, and Id chipping of all animals. We also have a village club, Liga Dos Amigos, regularly throughout the year, it provides special dinners , jantars and entertainment like traditional Fado nights . Bordeiro also celebrates many festas, in August we have the sardine festival. The local coffee shop is a five minute walk, and the bus service is second to none, with connecting buses taking you to the Algarve, Coimbra, Porto, Lisbon and all over should you wish.
Gois is a bustling town 4km away, although a small town in Central Portugal Gois boasts a number of river beaches, many bars, cafes and restaurants, supermarkets, banks, doctors surgery and a primary and secondary school, that offers childcare during the summer hoidays and other breaks in the school calender. It hosts many festas throughout the summer including the Honey and Chestnut festa in the Autumn and the famous Motorbike Festa in August (Portugal's third largest)
